Why Dual Enroll?
Dual Enrollment provides an opportunity for high-school students to get a head start on college by taking college-level courses at East Georgia while working on their high school diploma. Dual enrollment also helps ease the transition from high school to college by allowing students the experience of taking college courses that easily transfer to most colleges and universities. Dual enrollment students do not have a declared major while participating in the program, but have the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of what their future majors will require through conversations with the Dual Enrollment Coordinator and their high school counselor. Dual Enrollment is available at all three East Georgia locations - Swainsboro, Statesboro and Augusta. Classes may even be taught at the high school.
Benefits include:
- Begin College Faster: Get a head start on earning college-level credit.
- Affordability: Save money by enrolling at little to no cost.
- Transferability: College credits are transferable to other colleges/universities.
- Academic Resources: Gain access to East Georgia resources (Career & Academic Advising, Tutoring, Library, Counseling, etc.).
- Student Life: Participate in on campus events and student clubs.
